JOEL SELIK graduated law
school and passed the California Bar Exam in
1984. He spent 5 years practicing law full time
in Las Vegas. Since that time he has been living
in San Diego and traveling between his San Diego
and Las Vegas offices. In addition to his Juris
Doctor, Joel Selik has an advanced law degree in
Taxation Law from the University of San Diego
(Ll.M.-Taxation USD, 1993).
Joel Selik sits in many
judicial and quasi judicial positions. He is a
Judge Pro Tem for the San Diego North County
Superior Court. He also sits on the committees of
the Fee Dispute Committee and the Client
Relations Committee where he acts as an
arbitrator and mediator. For many years Mr. Selik
has been an Arbitrator for the National
Association of Securities Dealers.
Mr. Seliks practice is
primarily Litigation, Including Nursing Home
Abuse, Legal Malpractice and Medical Malpractice.
Joel
Selik is very passionate in resenting his clients
and personally handles each of his cases. The
Nursing Home cases where family members are
abused or neglected are particularly of interest.
Mr. Selik has also had great successes in
Collection Matters, Real Estate, Estate and
Business litigation.
Mr. Selik is a Member of the
California and Nevada Bar, the San Diego County
and North San Diego County Bar Associations as
well as the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association and
Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.
Mr. Selik has given many
seminars on Estate Planning, Nursing Home
Litigation and other legal Topics and was an
Adjunct Professor of Law at a local law school.
